Higher and Higher!

I love Isaiah 55 and especially 8-9

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.

9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

What a thought! God are higher than anything we can imagine ... why not put Him to the test, think big ... REALLY big, ask and see what He brings

It will be good ...

Hope In the fire...

A woman I am consulting with offered this reference and I love it! Thanks Kitti M:

"...I love the hope God gives us especially when everything goes sour and He reminds us through His Word and others that He is a God of hope and good plans and a future. My only concern is that the ultimate thing we have to place our trust in is God alone, not the hope of changed circumstances. It's a very small nuance, but one I believe the scripture teaches...I think any story about hope has to include the kind Daniel's three friends relied on: "If you throw us in the fire, the God we serve can rescue us from your roaring furnace and anything else you might cook up, O king. But even if he doesn't, it wouldn't make a bit of difference, O king. We still wouldn't serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up" Daniel 3:17-18 God is a "present help in time of trouble" in those "even if he doesn't times" - that's what makes stories like the ones you want to tell so strong!

What a wise woman of God ... I just love story of SM & A (AKA: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) Love to say their names, they flow Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego)

Read Daniel 3: just read the whole darn thing, it'll do you good! "They didn't even smell of smoke!" that is our GOD ... He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow ... ifyou feel you are in the fire, PRAY and Jesus will be with you ... you can come out with your eyebrows intact, no burns, singes or even hint of smoke!

We serve an awesome GOD! Amen we do!

Who Said?

I will put aside my personal opinion of Jennifer Anniston, instead praying for her. That said, I have no desire to see her new movie "The Switch". why? because of the trailer in which she states "who said I need a man to have a baby" (or something like that, this is the gist of it) ... I am truly tired of hearing women making comments such as this. How selfish! what about the baby, the child growing up? don't they deserve to have at least an opportunity to have a father in their life, their home? The above statement is usually followed by, I'm tired of waiting, looking for a good man ... Well, guess what? sometimes we have to wait for the best to come to us ... Will you wait on God? when you have a promise from God and it doesn't come when you think it should, do you give up and go ahead with your plan? Yes, I'm guilty of that as well and guess what? it usually ends in a screwed up mess where I come running back to God to help me out, clean up my mess...and He does, His mercy and grace and favor have always been there for me.

So, perhaps you've not found a husband, a father for your children ... check your attitude ... are you walking in love and appreciation? or do you walk around expecting a man to disappoint you, hurt you? Guess what? you get what you put out there, you reap what you sow ... sure, there are some real dogs out there, men AND women.

What I see is the women who appreciate men, appreciate love ...they get it in their relationships, long marriages.

If you are in a relationship, do you offer compliments, blessings to him everyday? So you say you want a relationship, a marriage, a family ... are you ready? do you know what it takes to make it work ...

Do you harbor ill feelings about an ex, talking incessantly about that hurt...then how can you expect anything new in a man until you deal with the old. When you go through your day, if you find yourself thinking, I'd like a relationship but there are just no good men out there, ask yourself

WHO SAID? who are you listening to?

Go to God ... seek the truth! You may find yourself surprised...His truth trumps society "reality" every time

I''m Expecting...

...the Unexpected!

On this day, Neale Donald Walsh says that God wants us to know:
"if you do not expect the unexpected you will not find it,

for it is not to be reached by search or trail."

Heraclitus said that, and he was right.

Life is delighted to bring you The Unexpected.

Are you delighted to receive it?

Indeed, belief in the coming of The Unexpected is the

genesis of hope. How can you hope for anything breathtaking or

exciting if you can only hope for the already expected? Therefore,

you must always think that anything can happen. Form your ideas

and your dreams within that framework! Remember,

God specializes in The Unexpected.

...I am delighted ... are you?
What are you expecting every day ... every morning when you rise.

Be expecting ... this expecting is exciting, adventurous ... no morning sickness, no weight gain ... just anticipation of expecting. You could liken expectation of a change in your life as a pregnancy ... for a birthing of new ideas, new career, new relationships ... new love of life. This expecting doesn't have to take 9 months to see what you have created ... it takes as long as your decision process every day ... let God take care of the rest.

For those who have not heard my testimony of how I got to Savannah, I'd be more than happy to share ... send me a request. Bottom line is that it all happened from a decision, one decision I made ... the rest is history. The rest continues to unfold because God's not finished with me yet and the Best is Yet to Come!

For now ... just know that I'M EXPECTING!!

Peace Out!

Job6:8
"Oh, that I might have my request, that God would grant what I hope for...'

I feel like Dancing!

Psalm 30:11-12
"You turned my wailing into dancing ... O Lord My God, I will give you thanks forever"

What better thought on a Monday morning ... Dancing Queen! Now don't get me started on ABBA! YES!! I LOVE ABBA!! I am PROUD to say that I LOVE ABBA! You cannot be down, glum with ABBA! I dare ya! I double dog dare ya~!

Monday ... new day ... new week ... new beginning! Celebrate every morning you wake up and your feet hit the floor ... then hit your knees to the floor and Praise our God!

Praying that everyone had a marvelous weekend ... new adventures filled with joy! I had the pleasure of spending Saturday with a most wonderful group of mighty women of God. There is nothing like the power of agreement ... God's children gathered together for His purpose. Sunday service was again God moving amongst us ... Pastor is amazing, anointed! it feels as though her anointing is stronger each week ... God is moving, people! I feel it ... hear it in discussions ... see signs and wonders ... leading down the road to a miracle! Let's not stop, rest on our miracle ... give thanks then look for the sign of the next blessing ... blessings lead to miracles. Miracles are great ... I'd rather be surrounded by blessings!

Remember that with blessings come battles ... enemy comes up to divert us, thwart our progress ... be armed ... ready for the battle! I'm ready! Are you?
Make no mistake, I am in a battle ... for God's good will, plan for my life to unfold. I'm not missing it this time so each day I give thanks ... pray up ... ask for HIS will to be done in my day. He is leading me to a life! Don't you want to live? not merely exist? it can happen.

God has placed a gift in me ... in YOU ... have you opened your gift, your present ... I have peeked but not torn into the gift. Which is amazing knowing my propensity to tear into a gift!!

It is time to open this gift let God's present in me, emanate from my presence

That doesn't mean it's easy or understandable ... especially to others ... it's outside the box, outside of the world system ... yet when you know it is God leading, how can you say "NO". So I walk in faith ... not fear. Trust ... not doubt.
It's a new adventure sort of, I've been close before but allowed fear to overrule ... now, I have to embark on this adventure ... time is running out ... I've got to give it everything I have ... there is a destiny at stake ... MINE!

I feel like DANCING!!~

Besides ... a good battle attracts warriors ... gladiators ... an army on my side! and you know how I love men in uniform!

Suddenly, I really feel like DANCING!!~

I hope each of you recognizes your gift within ... let love reveal it to you ... the more you love ... the more love you'll give ... and guess what? the more love you'll attract ... it's a covenant, actually a command (John 13:34) from the One great LOVE. Now, think about what gift you'd like to see in your husband. Concentrate ... imagine ... feel it ... how does it make you feel? ready to DANCE?!~ Put on some ABBA and be a dancing queen!

Luke 12:6-7
“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”- Amen! and AMEN!

The little things ...

I am in love with my God ... my Jesus!

People, walk in obedience of our Lord ... even in the small things!

This has been an awesome day and it is NOT even over yet! I am so excited to see what else is to be!

In a Joyce Meyer CD I was listening to the other day she was expounding on how we ask God for things, big things, big changes in our lives yet we don't always demonstrate the ability to handle these things. How is this evident? because we may not be taking care of what we have before us. Are you taking care of the small things in your possession? Do you keep your home neat, clean, livable? is your car well maintained, inside and out? How about your relationships, with family, friends, co-workers? How can we expect God to shower us with more, bigger, valuables if we can't take care of the little things? We won't go into taking care of our bodies ... that's a discussion for another day

He's watching ... looking for those who demonstrate the ability to care for, nurture, appreciate, maintain whatever they have ... then he will know that they can handle more. I want to be one of those people, the righteous, the favored.

If you are beginning your day by telling yourself what you like about you, your life, that is a good start! then listen to the voice and obey, even in regard to the small things, the message that seems harmless, meaningless because you don't know where that small sign will lead ... a big miracle? I'm trusting in it.

This morning I went and got rid of some ghosts from boyfriends past ... went to one of those "we buy gold, silver, valuables" gigs at a local hotel...before you scoff, I've done it before and they are legit! Much better than pawning at a shop or trusting in an envelope sent to some entity. God has been sending me messages to be ready for that husband he is sending...one way is to rid myself of jewelry that serves to remind me of the past. While there, one of the salesmen flirted with me, complimenting me, flattering me ... flirting. I enjoyed it! I brought them a watch from an ex ... the flirt made reference to the watch brand then said, 'I'd buy you a rolex". You know what? I deserve a rolex, make that a capital R-O-L-E-X! God reinforcing that I deserve the best and a man who wants to shower me with the best. Well, he'll have some competition in that my God shows me favor ... he's gonna have to top that favor, but I know he'll handle it and more!

As I was on my way to the DQ to celebrate Children Miracle Network Blizzard Day, you know, do my share, God's little voice told me to go a different way ... take a particular route. OK, if you say so God. People, when he speaks: Listen and obey! Because I followed the spirit I was able to help someone out .. thank you GOD for letting me be there for her!! We praised our God and laughed at the devil's attempt ... foiled again! We WON!! We also were shown others who offered help, we are not alone and we are not islands ... we are all God's children...what a blessing to be there for each other! Amen!!

Other little things thrown in along the way, have just made this the best day!! Still the best is yet to come ... walls are coming down! There was a song on the radio about 'walls coming down' and I really felt that was appropriate for the new season that is blossoming before, time to reap the harvest!
I am a master gardener with a green thumb so my harvest will be awesome! it is written, it is done!

What comfort to know that God has taken care of business, solved all situations before me ... lined everything up for His best in my life .. His divine plan for my life to unfold ... I'm in!

The blizzard tasted even more deeeelish ... I was also thrilled to see the people coming in to order in support of CMN! Everyone appeared so happy to have an excuse to get their blizzard! Hallelujah! all God's children joining together! it's a sign! I love the signs because they lead to the miracle!

Amen ... that's what I'm talkin' about!

Watch out ... signs signs everywhere signs!

love ya all!

Would you date you?

There is a popular alcohol product running an engaging tv commercial ... I am going to change the question to one more appropriate, IMHO.

Would you go on a date with you?

Of course, this begins with the question, would you approach you and ask for a date? How do you present yourself in public ... when we may think no one is watching but HE is watching. I'll go a step further and ask, would you want to run into Jesus when you present yourself in public?

Sometimes we get insular, thinking we are an island ... no man is an island
OK, who said that? HINT: It is NOT Bon Jovi ;) (obscure movie reference0

So no matter how insular we may think we are when we head out the door, people are watching. When you are in Christ what do you want them to see, the love of Jesus shining forth? How about happiness, peace, love beaming. Don't you want to smile back at someone who smiles and looks happy? Actually, i like to smile at those who look grumpy, sad, discontent, it's my little gift. Whether they smile back and accept it is their choice.

But if you are a single woman waiiting patiently for a mate, look in the mirror before you head out the door, after you've spent a few minutes telling yourself what you like about you! (see yesterday blog) Be honest in asking yourself, would you want to approach you, to date you?

What are your assets? What do you bring to the table, to a relationship. Why would someone want to be with you?

Live an Ephesians 3:20 day!

An adventure for me today is discovering the best value on Starbucks coffee ... did you know that the B&N location at the mall is more expensive than the local shop. Those who know me, know I actually do not prefer Starbucks Coffee but they have wifi ... you go where you are needed. Besides there are no Cabibou Coffee shops in Savannah ... that I do miss about ATL.

"Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come" Jeremiah 33:3

Last night I had an opportunity to really ask ... give attention to my God as I lost power. It was wonderful experience as I opened the patio door and really listened to the sounds of the night (thank goodness not so many sirens) ... the chirping cicadas reminded me of nights in my youth laying on the driveway and looking at the stars.
There followed what I initially thought was a flock of geese ... or prefer to say a "flock of seagulls" singing "...and I ran ... I ran so far away ... I just ran ... I couldn't get away" I swear I heard that tempo!
I now believe it was actually a group of some type of frog, perhaps bullfrog that can be confused (by me at least, it's happened before) with a flock of birds. That's my story anyway, and I'm sticking with it. It was a good experience, I believe I used opportunity wisely.
Sidebar: I will be writing to Blackberry manufacture encouraging them to "highlight" (no pun intended) the virtues of a blackberry as a flashlight ... I really think they are missing a market segment there. Thank goodness battery had been recharged earlier in the evening so I had that light, my iPod for praise music entertainment, and the freecell game for moments of entertainment! Really, thank goodness all had been charged previously b/c I ran each of them down!

It was also funny to catch myself hitting the light switch, in the pitch dark, somehow expecting the light to come on? I think I did that about half a dozen times, many times with candle in hand as my hand reached out to the switch! Oh, we can be such creatures of habit.

The fun lasted until about 1:30 when the lack of fan or air conditioning coupled with very little breeze wafting thru the door reminded me of just how hot it was outside...now ebbing inside. It felt that just as I fell into my good REM sleep, I was jolted awake with the music station singing to me that the power had returned! Great, it was 3:30AM. At that time of morning, forget about resetting clocks ... turn on that fan, that air conditioning and go to bed!

Turns out that our building and half of another building in the complex were the only ones to lose power ... I wondered why neighbors across the way had apparent light on! ... what's up with that! there was a small area that was affected by the outage ... Go US!

Dawn beckoned later for me today as I slept well and cool. Today is a beautiful day ... a new day ... a new beginning and I am excited! more excited than I was a month ago! God is so good to me ... He is so patient in allowing me to grow ... experience things I thought I wanted ... waiting for me to come to Him and say, OK let's do it totally your way! I'm in!
I feel Him standing there saying, you done now? you READY? Really ready this time? Yes, you are ready girl! Watch out because here we go!!

I'm so excited ... I just can't hide it ...

Thank you GOD! Thank you JESUS!
'For I know the plans I have for you sayeth the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you ... Plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

P.S. if anyone can tell me where July went, please do so ... I'm just saying

But we all know I LOVE AUGUST!! LUV IT! LUV IT! LLLUUUUVV IT!!

and yes, I would date me!

Psalm 25:5

"Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! LUV IT ... LUV IT! L-L-L-U-VVV IT!!!

What I like about...

...my life!

I like ... that each day is a new day of expectation
... I continue to learn
... time to explore new things
... my home
... my friends
... the cool efficient car I get to drive around town
... my new haircut ... short, sassy and easy!
... my sense of humor
... the coolness of my air conditioner
... God gave me beautiful, soul-ful eyes
... my Pastor

On Air1 this morning, they discussed a video with a 4YO girl giving herself a pep talk in the mirror ... BRAVO!

what a great idea ... each day look in the mirror, in your own eyes and shout out, (or whisper if you might wake someone) all that you like about yourself! it's not ego, it's appreciation for who you are in God ... don't forget to talk about what you like about your life.

Yesterday a dear woman and I shared some wonderful thoughts about our lives and how God has worked in both of us...truly led us to where we are, who we are. Both of us are full of love and gratitude! We have not let the devil stop us for we believe John 10:10

So when you give thanks thru talking about what you like ... you are acknowledging all the abundance, what we are supposed to be living. Abundant Life

Today go forth and live, experience Ephesians 3:20 ... truly feel it in your bones for HE indeed is able to provide "immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine" ... Imagine! what can you imagine? As I can imagine quite a bit, this fills me with excitement. Think about it~! God will meet me, you where you are and then surpassing all that is imaginable. Giddy up!

This also brings me a peace ... surpassing all understanding, all logic

Go into your day thinking about all that you like, thanking God. Watch him surprise and surpass, He's already lined up the surprises, you just have to look, open your eyes and see.

Now, something my dear friend suggested yesterday and this morning affirms I should do is list 10 things I like about my man of God ...
1) He is truly a man of God
2) confident in being a "man"

wait, I'm not sharing with you ... this is between God and me right now but I'll let you know when he gets here!

Your turn now ... what do you want in a man? don't think about what others say is available ... what is your heart's desire in a life partner?
what makes you giddy? what brings the soul into your eyes?

That's what I like about you....
