Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge

Colossians 2:2-3; "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

The treasures of life ... wisdom in Christ, thru Christ. What is the treasure in your life? For me right now it is growing in wisdom of the Word. I truly have the faith that by growing closer to my God, ALL things will be shown to me. I've struggled in the past knowing, understanding what my treasured gift for this world could possibly be ... now I'm on a treasure hunt to step into the future.

Am I ready? you betcha! I'm going forth everyday confident in the knowledge that what I seek, I shall find. Life is a college where we can all earn our higher degree as long as we continue to learn, grow, seek. The more you seek, the more you find, the more you want to find. But what happens when you stop seeking and settle? You can do just that, settle into the ground like a house on it's foundation ... settling can lead to cracks. Do you want to end up cracked? or keep moving, living, multiplying, being fruitful! What is an alternative? being planted ... like the tree planted by the river of living water. Living is moving.

2 Corinthians 5:17; "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Yes, I'm on that band wagon again...let all things old, holding you back be passed away so you can enjoy being new ... everyday! When you find the treasure within yourself, keep looking for that treasure in your relationships ... family, friends, spouse, co-workers, God. The joy of the treasure of the Bible is that there is new treasure daily, many times a day, and it's yours for the asking.

"Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that comes from Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 1:14

Go forth and seek ... look for that treasure and who knows, you just may meet Captain Jack Sparrow along the way ... now what an adventure that would be!!

As Seen On TV ... Oprah ... Rachael Ray

I saw a reference for this yesterday: As Seen on Rachael Ray and I thought, what does that mean? does that validate whatever they are offering? I wonder how many people clicked on the link just because of that reference? I'm sure it works or else they wouldn't have used the tag line.

How many would click on a link that says: As Seen in the BIBLE?
Who do you trust in decisions for your life? Rachael Ray, Oprah, TV. There is no denying the apparent power behind Oprah giving seal of approval. To me, that is sad ... People tend to give their expectation of power over to others so easily, yet won't give it over to our God, our Lord, our Jesus Christ who wielded much more power when he walked on this earth, died so we would be free from sin ... free to live. Free to claim our individual power instead of relying on someone else!

Ask yourself what you are living for today? who's putting value on your day? I'm just saying...

There is a more powerful name than Oprah ... really there is. You know it ...

"then the way you live will always honor and please the lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better." Colossians 1:10

But if you don't want to grow, bear fruit ... that's your choice and it is a choice.

Think about how you go forth in your day, with expectation or lament?
As I venture out I look with thanks and gratitude for the blessings I have ... countless ... I move with expectation for my miracle in the day. Who will I encounter? what blessing can I be or give to them? I remember that "God is working in you (me), giving you (me) the desire and the power to do what pleases Him>" Phil 2:13 I absolutely love the feeling of that desire, that power, that passion. Do I get that from TV, Oprah, Rachael Ray ... Naaaaaaah God is my source.

I am ready ... in my adventures I notice that the more I look for something, the more evidence I see (law of attraction). Adventures are exciting, thrilling, new territories many times, stepping outside the box. The more I look for new, exciting, thrills ... the more I see them! After receiving my message on Sunday, still visualizing this woman of God stepping over the chairs to reach me ... the more expectation for meeting my husband. As such, I noticed that I am seeing more and more men, appealing, attractive men ... that's an exciting leg of the journey.
If you are looking for a relationship, think about what type of man you want ... be somewhat specific but leave room for God's version .. He just may surprise you! and probably will. Close the door on past relationships, I found that I was continuing to moon over the best of those who got away ... so that was blocking me truly being ready for God to move. Yet again, I was getting in my own way, attempting to define instead of trusting. Now that I am aware, corrected this, He sent the messenger to assure me that we are on track!

If you are a woman thinking there are no good men out there, you may be holding on to past hurts ... let it go already! "Snap out of it!" what a great line, great advice from Cher Moonstruck of course, must be accompanied by a slap for best effect!
I can't stress enough that you must value yourself, your choices, your worth...don't devalue yourself in any way thru behaviors, looking for value because, you lose a part of yourself when you do. TRUST! PRAY! and know that how you value yourself will be returned to you in value by the man GOD sends to you. Don't allow anyone to talk you into any choices ... stand your ground! You are worth it! don't believe just me? I've got testimonies to back it up! Success stories based on what? real women, but also AS SEEN IN THE BIBLE!

When you make a decision to value yourself, let go of the past ... really, it is time. God does not hold your past against you daily, constantly, who are you to think that you should hold "it", circumstances over another? You've Got the power ... This "power" translates in so many areas of our lives ... the more we loosen up, radiate joy, love, excitement, happy, contentment ... the more we experience those things. The more we focus on what we want, what God wants for us ... the more surrounded, engulfed...try it! AS SEEN IN THE BIBLE!

Hint: Try turning off the TV for an evening and go to the SOURCE, the TRUTH ... then lets see how much power you feel ... who you are willing to claim as your power source!

In this adventure of life ... HAPPY HUNTING!!

Statute of Limitation?

D-I-V-O-R-C-E

Was it Loretta Lynn or Lynn Anderson who sang that song oh those years ago ... I think it was one of those "Lynn" something. What a concept at that time, divorce. Sadly, it is more common nowadays ... for whatever reason. I am not here to argue the merits, good or bad of divorce. For me it was a good thing...allowing me to grow. My point today is ... should there be a statute of limitation on being classified as divorced? whenever I fill out a form and an option is "divorced" I think, geez that was over 10 years ago, am I still considered 'divorced' ... having yet to remarry shouldn't I be "single" now? I think 10 years is long enough for a status change. Lord knows, and I give thanks, that I am not the woman from 10 years ago.

I guess this all comes down to my dislike for labels to begin with, especially when society creates, classifies them based on some screwball standard. We are what we speak ... guard your tongue:
Job 27:4 "my lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will utter no deceit."

So I don't feel "divorced" ... from what? from who? life, my ex ... I'm a new creature, a new woman, in Christ. As a bride of Christ, renewed in Him aren't I technically "married"? either that or I'm living in sin with Christ and we know that ain't it. Divorced, schimorced, whatever ... forget about society classifications. In this world but not of this world. I am what I am ... for now, that means I'm single, enjoying drawing closer to God, smiling, laughing, loving, living every moment ... running to my destiny.

“[God Disciplines His Sons] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”- Hebrews 12:1

BTW: I think, I know for me that is a 5K and NOT a marathon

Rejoice!! Rejoice!

Rejoice in your gift ... claim your gift to unwrap your destiny! have you settled along the way because the journey has gotten difficult, filled with obstacles? Rest, renew, then get off your butt, go forth and multiply! be fruitful! REJOICE!

Prison Break

What prison are you in?

Loneliness? Jealousy? Resentment? Apathy?

It is self-imposed … you have the key. Ephesians is on my heart as I read Paul’s instructions for life. Here he is in prison yet writes encouragement to others to live a life of inheritance for God’s will, love.
Whatever you are going through now, whatever season, I encourage you to give thanks and praise everyday for God’s good grace. Show love to yourself and others.
I also ask you to use that gift God has given you, appreciate it, use, it … don’t let it go to waste!! Don’t look at others with envy but if you’re not sure what your gift is, pray for God to reveal it and enlarge it within you … then run with it!

Break out of the prison, using your gift to live fully each day. Lonely? praying for that husband/wife? Then love yourself enough to present your best wherever you go, smile, share love. Be ready! God sent another message to me thru a beautiful messenger that I love, a true woman of God, sensitive to His voice. So when she came stepping across the chairs during the prayer call yesterday just to get His message for me into my ears, my heart, I listened, cheered and gave thanks for His favor.

We are in a season of change … if you’ve been in a prison, have faith strong enough to allow those cell doors to swing open, then step into your freedom! That’s your next adventure … walking in freedom and love daily. Be generous, be selfless, praying for others, who can you uplift today?

As Paul said in Ephesians 4:1 “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received” That should be adventure enough for a lifetime, excitement each day, conquering new territory, claiming your inheritance.

God smiling down on you … as for me I live to hear these words: Well done, my good and faithful servant.

Miracles

Have you ever experienced a miracle in your life? would you recognize a miracle?

Praise God for a miracle of health reported by a friend of mine on FB ... his son has gone thru a serious health issue the past few weeks only to report that doctors are amazed (aren't they usually when God is involved) with an amazing recovery and the PT they thought he'd have to go thru is not necessary ... his PT released him due to lack of deficiency! Amen!

This was just one of several amazing reports I've heard this week ... God is moving ... He is an active, living God so we should not be quite so surprised when these things occur ...

I love miracles, mysteries of this world ... scientifically unexplainable happenings ... definitely keeps life interesting and an adventure!!
What adventure did I experience this week? A mystery of revelation ... of seasons ... of destiny ... There is a change of seasons happening, no doubt and as I am discovering, it's not just for me.

Am I ready for this new season? you bet your sweet bippy I am ... There have been many times in the past when God has put me in a position to grow, step into His plan for my life ... many times I let fear, mine or others override and so I settled back into the security, the norm to keep the peace. This is my time ... I know it and I'm going to take full advantage of it ... THE TIME IS NOW!!

I AM READY! for I trust in HIM ... there will be trials, this past 9 months have been filled but it made me stronger because I trusted in God's word to me. I listened to a TD Jakes sermon last night and he talked about "using everything we have" ... using the tale of David going against Goliath, fearless with the faith of God in Him to defeat the giant ... what's your giant and do you have the faith of David in the gift God has put into you to run fearless toward Goliath with your slingshot and stone and your confidence in the Lord to obtain defeat?
Appreciate who you are, what gifts you have ... let go of envy of another. You are all sufficient! Believe in this and you won't miss your season ... don't let time run out on you!

I admit that in the past I've struggled to see the gifts God gave me ... I want to be able to belt out a song with all heart and not make others cringe ... I envied others' gift without appreciating what is mine. NO MORE ... what a relief ... a light bulb going off to really appreciate who I am in Jesus Christ ... what a gift that will be to share with my husband!

My adventures is appreciating me, loving others enough to share MY gift ... to it's full potential. The pieces of the puzzle continue to fall into place ... the completed puzzle will be extraordinary, I know ... how to I know? it's a gift~

Have you settled? have you let your gift sit on the shelf in fear? Time is running out ... the world needs your gift. Let it Shine! Be a Miracle instead of waiting for one!

PEACE OUT!!

Stepping on a shore...

thanks to Stacy for this text I received while standing on the shore at Tybee this AM
"think of stepping on a shore and finding it heaven...of passing from he storm to an unknown calm...of taking hold of a hand and finding it the pierced hand of Jesus" song by MercyMe

As I was at the shore ... enjoying Third Day on my iPod, I watched the people and was struck by how differently children approach the water the beach than adults. Children, most, are bold, walk with heads up, running many times, shoulders back, ready for the experience, determined to enjoy. Adults, most, walk with heads down, shoulders hunched, weighted down ... by life? disappointment? resentment?
If only we, adults, faced each day with strength, putting on the armour of our God each day, when you put your feet on the floor, step into the full armor (Eph 6:12-14)to face the day ... How great is it to go out the door in confidence that you are more than a conqueror! that's how many kids face each day, with confidence, ready for the adventure that is life ... as adults, we get bogged, weighted down with the disappointment, anger, resentment, whatever! Throw it off ... forgive! let it go!

God is patient with us, gives us chance after chance after chance ... endless chances when we come back to him, head down, ashamed asking for HIS forgiveness, who are we not to give people who have offended us the shame consideration? I feel sad when I hear bitterness peppered in conversations ... it can drain us from pleasures of life. Be a conqueror of your emotions, discipline yourself in love.

One good thing about the beach ... seeing God's majesty in the waves, feeling the angels kisses in the breeze ... there is a connection, overall people seem more relaxed, accepting of others and themselves. I only bring this part up because you have to have a good deal of self acceptance to wear the swimsuit I see some wearing. I'm just saying!!

I go weekly to the beach to check out sales of 3-Cord Strong bracelets at www.atlanticbeacongallery.com ... I know, that's a tough thing to have to do ... next time you are at Tybee go into Atlantic Beacon they have wonderful variety of works from local artists.

My point today? Face each day as a conqueror ... when standing on the shore, BE BRAVE! Be BOLD! and when HE calls ... take that Step ONTO THE WATER! HEAD UP, SHOULDERS BACK with the DETERMINATION of a CHILD but the CONFIDENCE of a CONQUEROR!

Garbage in ... Garbage out

It's not just a computer thing anymore ... actually was it ever really?

This shows you the story of what we take in our bodies simply by putting something on our skin... know what you're putting in Toxins in ... Toxins out

http://bit.ly/bq8GDK

Now for the rest of the story ... Dad loves listening to Paul Harvey and I loved spending time with Dad so I'd listen with him. So I borrow from Paul ... and now, for the rest of the story. Whether it applies or not, it is a good segue way.

GIGO (as computer geeks would understand) doesn't apply only to what we put on our skins or in our bodies ... remember our bodies are God's temple (1 Cor 6:19), think about that next time you over-indulge! Of course, I figure God likes a pint of Ben & Jerry's "everything but the..." now and then ... but, I think he may be tiring of the Doritos Late Night, Tacos at Midnight ... then again, maybe not yet. If he is, why am I still drawn to them? especially when food lion has them at discount price lately? it's a sign...

But I digress ... Anyway GIGO applies to so many things we do ... beauty, eating, words, images, relationships ... AHHHHH relationships! I've been thinking of them and how toxic relationships affect us ... guard your heart against who you let in your life, remember toxic in ... toxic out. I pray you surround yourself with friends who encourage, support, love you ... if not, is it time for new friends? expand your territory. Take a moment and listen to the voices around you, your voice (I didn't say voices in your head, if you talk back to them, get back to me, I can refer you someplace)

Are your own words toxic? what messages do you send out ... you reap what you sow.(Gal6:7) That means more than finances, it applies to your faith, love, tithes, time, energy! Sow small and your harvest will be small ... SOW with love, abundance, confidence, generosity and your harvest will over take you! It's God's promise! (Luke 6:38) Measure your words. I know I want all and more of what God has for me

What about you? Are you desiring a husband but losing faith, hope?
I know so many wonderful, beautiful single women ... women who pay attention to messages of society, women broken, they want a good man, good husband yet give a front of bravado that they don't need a man. Who needs a man? let's face it they are goofy, awkward, different creatures but they are fun! We women can be just as goofy, awkward, obtuse, etc etc etc. That's what makes the world interesting!!
The women who say they don't need a man are the same ones who jump, primp, flirt when they see a cute man ... Imagine a good, Christian man coming into their lives and I know they'd be singing another tune. Don't take in the toxic messages of our media ... instead stay in the truth! If your truth is that you don't want a man ... I pray you have blessings galore, are fruitful in your life. If you have the heart to share your life then ...

Get ready! ...Walk in love with all relationships, friends, family, acquaintances, those you meet daily ... give a smile, a word of thanks, show some love ... let it transform you.

what is your hearts desire? Where do you want to be in a year from now? Glance back at your past just to record the improvements, the goodness, then dream and dream big for next year, tomorrow even ...
‎"It is not as important how we start (our past), but how we finish." — Joyce Meyer

Mind your mind ... trust your heart ... live from your heart! When you think of it that way ... do you want garbage, toxins in your heart?

I don't think so..... Ciao

Are you ready?

Part of my adventure, something I feel led to do is encourage women not to settle in life. No matter what you have done, been thru, don't settle in life. Life is an adventure to be lived ... not tolerated.

What are you tolerating? My recent life changing spiritual weekend where God spoke to me about living, walking in faith truly changed me forever as I got closer to him hearing his voice personally but also thru another with a message to me. A message of hope ... faith ... trust ... love. It sparked a fire in me to approach life as though I am living it ... not merely existing ... tolerating.
I choose to actively create each day ... a blank page before me.

Are you ready to live? really live? what does that look like to you?

To me living is loving, expressing, valuing, laughing, enjoying every day! There are presents and treasure surrounding us ... some you have to dig for, that's why they can be a treasure because they didn't come easy. Don't live for the quick fix, the fast return ... savor the moments. Be READY!! for all life has before ...

Please Please Please don't let society tell you what life should look like, decide for yourself. This takes preparation, planning even, a little work yet the rewards are endless.

ARE YOU READY?

Owning your life?

who owns your life?

I have a website (see link) because I would rather own my life than allow a company, an organization, a j-o-b HOWEVER, disclaimer: in reality I don't own my life. My life is owned by my GOD, I'm just renting the space in this body ... 5'5" red hair, good condition, average miles, engin like new because of new heart ... runs smooth and turns like she's on rails.
So a better name for the site may have been "i rent my life" ... do you rent or own?
who is your landlord?

OK, so here's the scoopy doop: my next adventure is a book for single women who may be feeling that there are no good men out there ... Over the past few months, God has put it on my heart that there ARE good men, really. No surprise, it will be based on faith, Christian values and belief that no matter what messages we took in during our youth, messages from family, society, our past transgressions even ... WE are worthy of LOVE because we are forgiven ... when we turn to God thru Jesus Christ, the light ... the way.

I've met some incredible women whose stories spoke to me, because they sounded like me...Women who sought love thru the wrong channels believing that they were not worthy of real, meaningful, God sent love. BUNK!! BUNK!! BUNK!!!
These women are now in beautiful, loving, caring relationships with God-loving men, it is never too late, you've not done too much, gone too far to receives God's love and forgiveness...In fact, he forgot when you turned to Him. Now it's my turn, your turn to shut the door, shut any longing, look ahead. Love can be an adventure.

I am looking forward to this journey ... feel led and I know that by the time I finish, my story will be the final testimony ... THE END ... Happily Ever After ... why not? it happened for Shrek ;)

FLA-V-V-A-A-A!!

"You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?" Matthew 5:13

Have you lost your flavor? Today is a new day ... new beginning to ask God to write out your day ... then go for it but have some FLA-V-V-AAAA! when you do. So I ask you:

What's YOUR flavor today?
As for me ... I'm going with Passion Fruit! My passion for life ... my passion for Jesus Christ ... my passion to let Him write my day ... I will walk in obedience.

Get your flavor on ...

Is there something holding you back from your true flavor? Bitterness ... a grudge ... forgiveness ... how many times can I say it ... how many times do you need to hear it? LET IT GO!!!

If you struggle with fear ... holding on to that grudge, the pain may be the only connection to that "thing" that "person" and perhaps you are afraid to let go because you'll have to let go of them? Let it GO!! so you can be free to walk in the gift, the present of this day! the fear of letting it go may be holding you back ... the "devil you know" and all that crap ... the lie of the devil! You gonna let him win, let him have that control? Because, that is what you are doing when you won't let go ... you're playing with the devil and he loves teammates.

Go with the winning team instead, the ultimate world champion ...

If you struggle with letting go of bitterness, especially any toward our God, I recommend reading The Shack by William Young ... life changing. Now, it is unconventional and some don't like it but you never know until you pick it up, try it. What have you go to lose? that anger, bitterness, resentment, grudge? Check it out on Amazon.com ... Oh, look there's a link to Amazon at the top of my blog ... wow! how convenient! makes it easy for you!

Let it GO! already and move on to your next venture ... adventure! I'm open to my new adventure this week ... can't wait to see where the spirit moves me...what little nook in Savannah can I explore?

And speaking of school supply shopping, check this out... http://www.amazon.com/b/?node=1259269011&tag=adveofmill-20) what a transition, I am smmmmoooooth!

Ignore...

Ever received a phone call and ignored it? There are different reasons for ignoring a call, you're busy doing something else, don't want to talk the person, or simply "you want to be alone" ...

Do you think God ignores our call when he sees our name on his caller ID? Never ... some days it may seem that way but He promises "I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers..."
This is a comfort and one we should remember daily ... each day is a new blank page for us ... but as for God he already has a plan ... He is waiting for us to step into that plan. Ask yourself, what is holding you back? God does not ignore us, so let's return the favor and not ignore Him.

We are all heirs to his kingdom, His goodness, His riches, HIS LOVE!!
We are all in HIS WILL ... Jesus died, leaving a will with each of us named as beneficiaries ... there are simple instructions to claim our inheritance ... it's really simple yet perhaps too simple as our minds can't handle the simplicity, so we complicate it. God has everything lined up for us, his beneficiaries. Put yourself in His will, today.

Then go out and share your light with another...for sharing light, love is the ultimate commandment, the ultimate gift. (Check out book on Amazon.com, "The Ultimate Gift" by Jim Stovall it is tons better than the movie BTW ... they "hollywoodized" the movie for dramatic effect...go figure! so stick with the book, more powerful, more moving)

Today's adventure? Kudos to my friend Stacy as I will borrow from her: "who will you meet today that needs that heart shining?" Go forth and multiply GOD'S Shining Heart ... SHINE ON!

power of attraction??

Just as the "just missed" lovebirds departed their separate ways ... a man and older woman sat at the table beside me. I noticed he was nice looking and he's out with an "old" lady so he must be nice. Being that we were sitting close, I caught snippets of their conversation; I was impressed with his knowledge of various topics and again his generosity as he appeared to be someone who looks out for or helps this woman with odd jobs, tasks. This kindness only added to his good looks so I found myself glancing at him, out of the corner of my eye of course. Being that I have excellent peripheral vision, I noticed his periodic glances as well. I made sure I smiled and appeared an open, happy person.

The longer he and his companion sat there a part of me said a little prayer that the woman would at some point notice his interest and encourage him to speak ... or, she would take it upon herself to invite me into a conversation. Alas, this was not to be. As I watched him, slyly watching, them leave the cafe I smiled because I so enjoyed the "exchange" ... the flushed excitement of possibility. After all, my God promised he was sending my husband to me ... I simply have to get out of the way so he can step forward.

I realized something when appreciating the guest Pastor at church the other night. He stated that to open ourselves up to what God has for us, we need to let go of preconceptions, our vision of how it is to come... after all, God knows best ... I'd rather Trust in HIM than my own choices, especially with men ... we see how I've done. That is the past, over and done, door closed. Since hearing the message from God that his husband for me is coming, I fell into a pattern of attempting to picture him, imagining his face, searching for him...getting in my own way and again trying to choose. Thank you for Brother Ekajuba(sp?) to tell me to STOP IT! I'm leaving it to the great matchmaker in the sky!

He has done it for others, I hear many more testimonies to this lately, so I know he is bringing it for me. God is not a man that HE should lie. As a matter of fact, I am working on a project so that all woman will believe that GOOD MEN are indeed out there and they are not all taken. There is an unfortunate trend these days to portray men as idiots or weaklings or players ... reality shows do nothing to change that and don't get me started on the men of sitcoms ... oy vey!
Perhaps what we could use in the media is a reality show based on Christian beliefs, relationships, goodness ... it is out there ... Good MEN are out there. Don't let "reality" tell you otherwise! I'm gathering the proof!

How persuasive are you?

Interested in learning the art of persuasion?

So, Why do you?...

Keep calling me, 'Lord, Lord'! When you don't do what I say? Luke 6:46

Ha!ha! Why do we call out, cry out continuously about the same thing? Don't you get tired of hearing your kids, family, etc etc etc complaining about the same thing over and over? I know I do...and as with training in counseling I can tell you that when people come to you, listen to you, then go out doing what they want, the same thing they've always done ... it's nuts!! They come running back asking WHY!? WHY!? when we pursue it comes down to one thing .... ready?

They ask for help, ask for a solution yet they go out and react, approach that issue the same way they have for years ... then are surprised to get the same result. We all know the definition of insanity ... doing the same thing over and over yet expecting a different result.
I see it in many people, I've done it many times in my own life AND I see it in organizations, corporations, business, addicts ... Is there a cycle in your life that needs to be broken? Be patient with yourself and with others ... Love yourself ... Love those in your life ...

It's just like our Father does with us ... He is most patient but even he gets tired of the same cries, the same tears ... He wants so much more for us. Finally, he says, why do you keep crying to me ... DO IT!! Raise that staff and assert your authority!
Don't realize or understand YOUR authority as a believer? ... get into the WORD. Answers to everything are in the Bible ... our life manual.

What is stopping you?

Ain't no stopping me now ... I'm on the loose (pardon the syntax there but sometimes "ain't" is just right for conveyance)

I'm stepping out in faith because I trust in His word and "I am loved with an everlasting love (Jer 31;3)". I'm stepping out in adventure as I vow to visit, one new spot in Savannah each week, exploring this city that I've merely existed in for a few years ... I existed but did not idle, I learned, grew in Christ so that I would be ready for God's next step.
So this morning I sit in Sentient Bean enjoying the atmosphere ... it reminds me of Little Five Points ... an eclectic mix of patrons surrounding me, and I do mean eclectic. It is perfect for people watching as you have the tourists stopping by, artists hanging out, business conducted and a young man at an adjacent table shyly casting glances at the young woman sitting beside m A look of hope each time he looks, will this be the time she will look up and he can make eye contact ... will see that openness in his eyes to initiate a smile.

Alas, he gives up, packs his things and leaves casting one last fertive glance, one last chance for that "enchanted exchange". Of course, he does not see that as he walks out the door, she glances up at him, with what? longing, disappointment, relief? wishing he had boldly approached? Another day perhaps...

This week Sentient Bean ... next week who knows!! I'm on an adventure... Lovin' every minute of it ... I LLUUUVV IT! LLUUUVV IT! LLLUUUVVV IT!

God is so very very good to me and I press on to the goal for the prize of the high calling of God! (Phil 3:14)

What do you love? What is your next adventure ... things are happening NOW!

"...let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts...

...fully trusting HIM" Heb 10:22

A day of possibilities ...options ... grace
Can I hear an Amen and a Hallelujah? this is a most exciting day as I spend time learning, growing. MilliD is stepping into her future and doesn't even need a reality show to prove it.
What's my future? One of stepping out of the box, taking a risk and moving into Plan B. That plan is more and more vital to everyone now. Times they are a changing, do you want to change with them?

Soapbox Alert:
I am soooooo tired of seeing Kate Gosselin's face everywhere ... I guess she got what she wanted, fame ... at what cost. I'm not judging, just looking at some facts. If she were really interested in what is best for her kids, as she claims, she and Jon would have tried to keep the family together...sans cameras, adoring fans. Now she is out there trying to get on any show, I feel bad for the kids, not poor Kate.

They both appeared more interested in what they could buy, or get for free on that show. Well, both are at fault, it's always a two way street in marriage, at the cost of their children having stability. Don't you think that all 8 of those kids would give up their things, the huge house if their family was together? Kids want their parents together, want the family unit, the security. I pray for those kids because they without God's good grace, they will have a difficult time.

... stepping off now. Feel better to have that said, it will be mentioned no more!

Did I mention it is a beautiful day? the sun is shining and I'm hoping for yet another late afternoon thunder storm, I do love my storms ... lightning, thunder crashing, the sound of rain, pouring hard then streaming ever so lightly on the leaves, a low rustling of the wind ... Ain't life grand? Make mine 10 grand, thank you very much...

Whatever you are facing now ... embrace it ... give thanks and go out and kick some devil butt!

New Day, New Page ...

Alrighty then ... I'm OFF and Running into a new day, Ok Ok it's late afternoon by this time but you get the point. As anyone who knows me knows ... I am not a morning person anyway plus I just got this page set up and figured out! Go ME!

New Day ... New Page

We had a dynamic guest speaker at church these past 3 days ... hmmmm, 3 days, there's that number 3 again. God is working with me in 3's this year, and I'm lovin' every minute of it!

Anyway Brother Ekujuba (sp?), from Nigeria who happens to be our Pastor's Pastor gave us his message from God. Trust me when this man hears from God, YOU want to listen ... there were 7 key points (email me if you'd like to receive them) with emphasis on:

GOD has a word for you!

Each Day is a NEW PAGE, forget yesterday, forget the past, begin each day as a blank page before you ... perhaps in the morning write down what you want God to do for you that day (ed note: dont' get bogged down with lists and lists of things you need...focus on 1-2-3 important, vital promises)

Cry out to Jesus of Nazareth ... be bold, tell Him what you need

Enough is Enough!! Stop your crying ... raise your staff and take that step ... use that authority that we have as believers!! The waters will part ... God has our back! (stop whining!!...my 2 cents)

This, of course, is my 3minute version of the 3 nights ... it was tooo powerful to summarize in words. Powerful now that is an understatement. People it is time to change our lives ... your life.

The time is NOW!

But how do I do that? I can't do that! (you whine) ... listen peeps, if I can step out in Faith, you can too!

Remember it only takes a little faith to move mountains ... Matthew 17:20

I think that is a good beginning ... I look forward to sharing this journey ... I hope you will come along most days ... I'll pick up hitchhikers.

For now just remember Jeremiah 29:11

what's keeping you from your plans? what fear is stopping you from living your dream?

Where do you want to be in 5 years?
